My hubby and I have been listening to a lot of Adele lately. He fell in love with her singing a while ago and he listens to her new album often. So when I saw that Scribbles Designs challenge was to create a card from a song I knew which one I needed to create. Have you heard "Hello" by Adele? It's such a haunting song and it sticks in my mind constantly. So here is my card for Adele's "Hello."
The roses are from Scribbles Designs (Friday Freebies). I colored and blended three different colors of colored pencils for the roses and two different colored pencils for the leaves. One of the roses is flat on the white card stock background. The other is popped up to give it some dimension. The sentiment is a Simon Says die cut. I also cut it from white fun foam and then popped it off the base of the card. I added some doodles to enter the CASology challenge and then discovered I am 45 minutes too late. (a day late and a dollar short. Oh well!) But I love the way the card turned out and I can use it for just about anything.
I am entering these challenges:
- Scribbles Design challenge: a song in my heart
- Paper Players: CAS spring
- Addicted to CAS: delicate
- Hiding in my Craft Room: blending
That's it for me today. I have errands to run and things to finish up. I hope your week is off to an awesome start. Thanks for visiting.

love, love, love this card! this is a "me" card!
yep. i agree... it's still too cold out there. but then, i'm ALWAYS cold. i'll be at the office in long sleeves with an infinity scarf and my office-mate comes in in a tank top! really? it'll probably have to hit in the high 90s before i get warm. geeze louize.
i did tell my doc she can call me after easter, so we shall see. if not, i'll be calling her for sure tho i do have an appointment at the end of april. i'm so tired of the constant leg pain already. i just want to find out what's causing it. otherwise, i feel great.
have a great week and a very happy and blessed easter!
hugs :)
Donna this is a beautifully elegant CAS creation. Love those pretty blooms and also your doodling along the edge. Thanks for playing along with us this week at The Paper Players!
Donna, those roses are beautifully colored with the pencils. I like how you put them in the corner then used the squiggles along the end and side. Great CAS layout. Thanks for playing with the Paper Players this week.
Lovely rose card. Nice coloring with the pencils. Very elegant.
