Things Are Heating Up

My week seems so off since I worked on Monday. I think today should be Wednesday but it's only Tuesday. So my day off will be Friday this week. I'll have a four day weekend. Yeah!
I am behind on birthday cards and a couple of brother-in-laws' birthdays are coming in November so I thought I might starting working on them. So here's one tonight.

The image is Birthday Candle Birdbrain from From the Heart Stamps. I colored him with Copic markers and die cut him from Spellbinder's Tear Drop Circles. I edges the teardrop circels with distress ink. The sentiment is from the same stamp set. I cut that panel from MFT In & Out Stitiched Rounded Squares. I also die cut the frame with the same die so that you have the stitching on both the inside and outside pieces. The flags were cut with MFT Pierced Fishtail Flags. I used a scrap of plaid from my scrap box. I finished by adding the grid of rhinestones. I used the i {heart} card sketch with a twist #124. The twist this week is to use a sentiment on the front of the card.
I am entering these challenges:

That's all I have for tonight. Thank you for stopping by. I hope you are having a great week.

A cute image for a birthday card, and love the blues! The sketch is so interesting with the layout, and you've aced it with the stitched shapes. Love the bold plaid combined with the various shades of blue, and your distressing on the teardrop mat. Adding in the golden rhinestones created a lot of sparkle too. Hope your week gets straightened out. That happens to me all the time, and I'm retired!!! TFS & Hope the weather is good in your part of the country. Hugs & TFS
