Thoughts of You

Another Happy Sunday post. It finally stopped raining with more than 4 inches of rain. We are a bit soggy around here. We are hoping for sun tomorrow. I had a chance to play for a bit this evening. A friend and I are making dinner for another friend who has lung cancer. I wanted to make a card to go with the dinner and here's what I came up with.

This card is 6in x 6in which is an unusual size for me but since I don't have to mail it I thought the bigger size would be okay. The image is from Doodle Pantry called Quirky Scarecrow. I won the sentiment stamp in a blog candy and there was no indication as to what company the stamp was from. I cut the sentiment with a labels 13 from Spellbinders. The image was cut from Spellbinders rectangles. I used the sketch from Here Comes the Boys. I need some practice in my doodling but I tried doodling around the image and the sentiment. I also added some Baby Blue Stickles on the sentiment shape. The background panel was embossed with the Victoria embossing folder and then inked over with darker blue ink. I backed each shape with a darker color of blue so there are lots of layers. I am entering these challenges:

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope that you enjoyed my card. I hope your week is off to a good start! See you soon!

Love the colors/coloring and the doodling is great! I always make my doodles too big.....! Love the stickles on the sentiment. I have to say- scarecrow images are so fun for fall cards- one of my favorites!

this is super. i like both 5x5 and 6x6 cards. the hard part is finding an envelope tho now i've got the envelope maker. the hard part there is figuring it out - LOL.

it's been typical fall here - grey and cold. right not it's 60 degrees INSIDE my house. my windows are closed and i refuse to turn the heat on. looks like a sweats kinda day!

hope you enjoyed dinner with your friends.

hugs :)
