Fore!

Happy Hump Day! I am so glad to be on the down side of the week. I wish I had a bunch of time off work and I would stay at home in bed for a while. But I don't, so I keep trying to make it through the days. By the time I get home my head is swimming. I'm not sure I am feeling any better and I am certainly more dizzy than I was before. Still no hearing in my left ear. My ENT appointment isn't until November 8th.

But God is so good! Today we found out that Steve, my youngest, has a job in Pensacola, FL, starting in a few short weeks. So we'll have to pack him up and move him down there. He's really excited! And that means we'll suddenly be empty nesters. I'm not sure how I'll feel about that.

Over the last few nights I managed to make a card for my BIL's birthday this weekend. I've missed several birthday's over the last few weeks so I'm going to have to do some belated cards this weekend. This isn't my typical card. Maybe it reflects my mood or how I am feeling. I usually like colorful cards but this is what I came up with.

My BIL is a golfer and Create with TLC had this sentiment for free the other day. So I knew I had to use it for his card. I haven't a clue why I went with black and white. I found the golfer image on the web as clip art. I used my Scor-Pal to make the background embossing and swiped it with a black ink pad. I cut the image with Spellbinders circle die and the sentiment is punched with an ek Success punch. I backed them both with black. I used faux stitching around the image and part of the sentiment and then used black Stickles to embellish the sentiment.
I'm entering these challenges:

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope your week is going well!

Donna

What a clever card you've created here! I'm always on the lookout for artistic cards for guys and this certainly caught me eye! I love the patterns and the sentiment. It made me smile and I was also very impressed that you could make such a stunning card using just black and white and gray! I am too chicken to use neutrals, but you've shown me that even neutrals can pack a punch. I'm so glad you shared this card with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog.

Great card! My husband is an avid golfer, so I love seeing new ideas for Golfin'Guys. You mentioned that you usually use brighter colors, but I really like the neutrals used here. Very masculine. Thank you for joining us this week for the Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge. I hope you feel better soon! ~Michelle
