VCMP Challenge #8 Washi Tape

It's finally my turn to post for the Virtual Card Making Party at Operation Write Home. If you haven't heard about this fun weekend please check out the details of the VCMP! My challenge for you is to use Washi Tape on your cards.

I used several widths, colors and patterns of washi tape on my card. And then embossed over the top with a Sizzix Chevron embossing folder. The image is from the February Doodle Pantry release called Love Star colored with Bic markers. The sentiment is from the same set cut out with one of the Spellbinders Trio Tag dies. I sponged over the sentiment with Stampin' Up Certainly Celery and Pink Passion. I popped up the front panel with pop dots. I have several other samples of cards that I used washi tape on: Paper Pieced Balloons and Butterfly.
I have two prize packages to offer up today for two lucky winners. I will choose one winner randomly from comments and one winner randomly from those who enter the challenge. U.S. only please.

Here's the bag of stamps for the random comment winner.

And the prize for the challenge winner. A baggie with embellishments and other goodies and a sentiment stamp set from My Favorite Things. I hope you will join in the challenge.
I will draw and announce winners for the prizes on February 25th when InLinkz closes. Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you are enjoying this VCMP weekend!

Donna, thank you for hosting a VCMP challenge! This one will really get me outside my box, but that's what I love about challenges. I don't use washi tape very often.

Oh my goodness -- What a challenge -- I am not sure I own any washi tape -- so this is a real challenging challenge for me LOL. I like the bright colors in your card -- great idea embossing over the top. Thanks for hosting this challenge.

How embarrassing... I must admit that Washi tape is something that I have not invested in yet :) Some day I will find some and participate in this challenge! I am getting loads of inspiration from your entries!

I love the card. I got a washi tape dispenser for Christmas and not all of the tape will fit in the dispenser. Thanks for the great card so I can use my stash of washi tape.

I only have a few rolls of Washi Tape. I always think it looks so nice of everyone's cards, but struggled using it myself. Thanks for a great challenge that made me use it!

I only have 3 rolls of washi tape all from Secret Santa swaps with various crafting groups. I really stuggle using it and have contemplated giving it away. Thanks for the challenge of using it.

I'm away from my craft area this weekend, but am checking in on the VCMP participants and getting such good ideas. I have a few rolls of the Washi tape and will try this out when I return. It (and embossing folders) are both relatively new in my cardmaking arsenal, so I'm thankful for the spark of an idea. Thanks for the beautiful card to CASE and for taking part in the VCMP and supporting OWH.

I know I should jump on this challenge. Still trying to get my feet wet after being gone for several weeks....tend to forget tihings. All your cards are wonderful...I do love the liftle airplane....brought the child out in me. I don't quite understand what pic to put in your link? Perhaps just one of the challenges from the five challenges. It's still early and I haven't had all my coffee....haha
