Happy Sunday

Can you believe the weekend is almost over! Where does the time go. Yesterday I got up at 3:30am and drove to South Bend, IN for a card workshop. It was a blast (except for the 3:30am and the long drive). My friend, Julie (hi  Julie) and I went up to Joan's Garden and attended her workshop. I wanted to show you one of the things we made.

Isn't this gorgeous. We learned to make these roses and then made the box and added all the layers on top. Such fun! Here's another view.

I just love the rose and it wasn't very difficult. But they do take time. I can't imagine sitting all day making roses. I love the die cuts too. The original left the leave die cuts white but I colored mine green. I thin it set everything off really nicely. One last pic.

Learned a lot and tomorrow I'll share another project with you. I'm really excited about that one. I learned a new and very easy technique that just has stunning results.
I'm entering this into two challenges: Scrap Creations (use flowers) and Speedy Fox and Friends (shades of pink). Hope you have a wonderful start to your week. Check back tomorrow and I'll post the other new technique I learned yesterday! Big hugs to all!

omgoodness donna! this is absolutely gorgeous! wow! yeah, i broke TWO (2) big shots. i finally got a QUICKUTZ epic 6 and a GRAND CALIBUR (the Grand Calibur does NOT fit the big sizzix dies) i recently started using my GC after having it a year. i LOVE it. but you really need to play with sandwiching.

p.s. the epic 6 with a 40% off coupon at Hobby Lobby was only $30!!!!! works the same as the cuttlebug.

hang in there.

oh, and i definitely WON'T be baking that much no matter how much i like my desserts. but i'm so glad you care LOL.

hugs sweetie.

What a beautiful rose on top of that lovely box! You really did have an early start to your day but I'd say it was worth it!

Whoa- I had an issue with my CB today for the first time ever- but it was the side that popped off- the rollers seem to be OK- using a tiny bird die...... It went right back in- we'll see if it affects the rollers.... I have a Big Shot too- do not use it too much thought.... I love the gorgeous box- what are we going to do with them? Fill them with Chocolate maybe! Whoa- after reading your post, I guess I cannot complain about getting up at 5AM.....LOL
